Saturn and Neptune Moons

Two more moons were found at Saturn bringing its total count to 33. The 2-mile-wide moons were spotted in Cassini spacecraft images and are relatively new with one-day orbital periods. They are located between the orbits of Mimas and Enceladus.

Neptune moons total at 17 with 5 new moons from 20 to 30 miles across. Three new moons orbit in a backward direction with orbital periods of 5 to 25 years. The new moons are outside the orbit of Nereid, and were probably moved out by Triton and Nereid.
