Summer Launches of NASA

NASA is scheduled to launch the space shuttle Discovery on mission STS-114 on the first shuttle flight since the Columbia disaster on February 1, 2003.
The launch window ranges from July13th to 31st.

The Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) is scheduled for launch on August 10, 2005 aboard a Delta V rocket. The large spacecraft is the next emissary to study Mars until 2010. It will study Mars’ composition and structure, from atmosphere to underground. It will evaluate different sites to use for future landings on Mars and be used as a communications relay for other surface missions.
