STS-114 Rescheduled for launch

It is official. The countdown clock for NASA's Return to Flight is rolling again, after over a week of downtime. Discovery was given a green light for a potential launch on Tuesday for the Return to Flight STS-114 mission.Shuttle with countdown clock
For over a week now, teams of engineers have worked around the clock to troubleshoot a problem with a low-fuel sensor indicator on the external tank of the Discovery space shuttle. Earlier Saturday afternoon, initial tests indicated all systems were functional, and officials at the Kennedy Space Center set the countdown clock to T-43 hours, and began the countdown.

Providing flight and ground control systems checkout, and the weather remains clear, Discovery will be ready for a launch at 10:39 A.M. on Tuesday, July 26th. Currently, NASA meteorologists are predicting a 40% chance that weather will prevent a launch of the shuttle on Tuesday. Officials will be keeping a close watch on the weather situation, and if inclement weather arises, the launch will have to be postponed for a second time.
