GLPA 2006Welcome, GLPA Members!
The 2006 GLPA Conference is being hosted by the Merrillville Community School Corporation. The conference begins on the evening of Wednesday, October 25, and concludes on the afternoon of Saturday, October 28. The conference is being held at Clifford Pierce Middle School, home of the Merrillville Community Planetarium. More information about our conference:

Tonight marks the beginning of the 42nd Annual GLPA Conference. Merrillville will have a volunteer staffed at the Lees Inn Conference Hotel from 2:30 PM to 7:00 PM to assist members with directions, checkin, and any questions they might have. The conference begins tonight at 6:00 P.M. at Pierce Middle School with a dessert reception. You may pickup registration materials upstairs next to the Planetarium Entrance, past the dessert reception. Feel free to stop and get some goodies before heading to the pickup table. We're down to the last 7 days before the start of the 42nd annual Great Lakes Planetarium Association. We're less than 6 weeks away from the 42nd annual Great Lakes Planetarium Association conference, and registrations are beginning to pick up. Most members should have received information in the mail on how to register for the conference. If you're still waiting to register, we've got two great ways to get you signed up: Online Registration, with electronic payment or printable Mail-in Registration. Make sure to get your registration in before September 27th to avoid a $25.00 late charge! We look forward to seeing everybody in Merrillville for what's sure to be a great GLPA Conference. Our guest speaker for Saturday, October 28th will be Scott G. Lever, from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Scott is the Tactical Uplink Lead Engineer on the Mars Exploration Rovers (MER) Project at JPL, and will be sharing information about the project during his presentation "Roaming Mars, a Personal Perspective" Saturday afternoon.
